Shari LaRosa, LCSW, is a licensed clinical therapist, a proud wife, and mom of two daughters. With a background in elementary education, she blends her passion for helping others, experience teaching children, and love of animals and nature to creatively introduce young readers to mental health awareness. She hopes to encourage open dialogue about anxiety so when children recognize symptoms of worry, there is greater comfort in disclosing their feelings with others they trust. Through her work supporting children with ADHD and growth in emotion regulation and executive functioning skills, she hopes to encourage open dialogue regarding the strengths of neurodiverse children as well as parental awareness to nurture positive traits.
Shari is a specialist in treating anxiety and adhd in her private practice, Connected Mind Counseling. She promotes well-being through healing therapies such as Mindfulness while integrating Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques.
In her personal time, Shari enjoys friends and family, loves animals and nature, participates in modern dance and enjoys reading and writing.
